Kem Ihenacho is a partner at global law firm Latham & Watkins and is based in its London office. Kem has over 15 years of experience in his field. He is a partner in the Corporate practice and is recognised as a leader in the field of international private equity and M&A transactions. He is co-chair of the Africa Practice at Latham & Watkins and vice-chair of the firm’s global recruitment committee. Kem is particularly recognised for his experience on Africa transactions and has advised on a number of “first of a kind” transactions on the continent.
Prior to joining Latham, Kem was a partner at international law firm Clifford Chance, having joined the firm as a junior lawyer in 1999.
Kem sits on the advisory board of Rare Recruitment and is a director of International Lawyers for Africa, an organisation whose mission is to build legal excellence in Africa by providing access to advanced legal training and networking opportunities for African lawyers and senior professionals engaged in the negotiation of complex transactions in Africa.
Kem is a former member of the legal and regulatory committees of the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association and the Africa Private Equity and Venture Capital Association.
Kem studied law at University of Wales, Cardiff and Cardiff Law School.
