There are three steps to designing that partnership with Rare.
Some of our clients are looking for brilliant female computer scientists. Others want black and minority ethnic (BME) candidates with a First in Law. Others want black first years from particular universities who are interested in finance. We are happy to work on very specific target groups and have the networks and expertise to find even the rarest of candidates.
Key questions to help you define what you are looking for include:
- Are you looking for first years, penultimate years, final years, or graduate students?
- Is there a focus on a particular gender, ethnic or social group?
- Are there nationality restrictions?
- Is course of study important to you?
- What about A Level or secondary school grades or scores at university? Are you taking context into account when you set your grade requirements?
- Are you using a flagging mechanism to ensure you do not miss exceptional candidates who may lack social or cultural capital?
Insight events We have designed and run hundreds of events for top diverse students in the last nine years. We love working with clients to create incredible events that bring employer brands to life and provide amazing candidate experiences. Our events take a very wide variety of forms. We can create new brands for events if clients want us to. We have created the Summix brand, now in its eighth year, for L'Oréal, and the CodeF brand, which has been used at events in the UK, Germany, Poland, Russia and Israel, for Google. Every Rare event is different and every one receives the combination of love, expertise and attention to detail which, in our experience, makes events great.
Targeted recruitment campaigns We design and implement bespoke recruitment campaigns for specific client programmes. We use careers services, student societies and our unparalleled network of diverse students to deliver outstanding results.
Bespoke development programmes Rare has designed and created a number of specialist development programmes in-house to help candidates hone particular key skills required for particular career paths. There are five development programmes and a series of introductory career programmes: Civil Service SDIP Coaching Programme, Articles, Consult, Invest, Discuss and the Rare Foundations Series, which focus on Banking, Consulting, Law and Technology.
Rare offers a range of consultancy services for clients, which includes:
